Welcome to 5th Grade!

All of our students are proud to serve our school and our St. Pancratius community.

In 5th grade, our students have access to different resources such as computers, library, and even art. It is important for them to be well-rounded and have a chance to express themselves through different media.

Most of all, faith is incorporated in every subject. God’s Word can be applied to any subject. Scripture is essential to our everyday lives. Prayer, even more so! As a class, we are learning that God has his chosen people, and we are among them.

Fifth grade does a lot of cross-curricular projects that cover reading, writing, and social studies units. They completed Explorer Reports, Genius Hour Projects, and Thirteen Colony Travel Brochures. They are currently working on the American Revolution Living Museum where each child is assigned a person who has had a significant role in early American history. They will investigate the life of their assigned person and dress up like him or her for the event.

We have book clubs where the kids are placed in groups based on their reading levels, and they rotate literature jobs weekly

Indeed, he loves his people; all his holy ones are in his hands. They follow in his steps and accept his teaching”
