Admission Process

Prior to admission consideration, all new students must submit the following documents and have an interview with the Parish Pastor or School Principal:

  • Completed application from the school office.
  • Current immunization records (shot records).
  • Copy of birth certificate.
  • Copy of baptismal certificate (if applicable).
  • Report card from previous school sent directly to St. Pancratius Parish School from the previous school.

Admission: The principal and pastor decide all student admissions. Verification of report cards, above average effort and behavior grades from the previous school, and acceptance of SPS philosophy and rules, a student will be admitted to fill vacancies as follows:

  • Students whose families are registered, active participants of St. Pancratius Parish and who attend Mass at St. Pancratius as verified by the use of the church envelopes on a weekly basis.
  • As space is available, student applicants whose current parish of residence and participation is St. Pancratius and who previously attended another Catholic school will be admitted.
  • As space is available, student applicants whose current parish of residence and participation is St. Pancratius and who previously attended a public school or non-Catholic private school will be admitted.
  • As space is available, student applicants who participate in a Catholic parish other than St. Pancratius Parish will be admitted.
  • If space is available, any other student applicants will be considered.

  • Family support of the religious instruction by regular and active participation in parish Sunday Mass.
  • Active participation in parish activities.
  • Financial support of the church by regular envelope use. (The parish subsidizes the school from these contributions.)
  • Parental support of the school and its policies.
  • Required participation in the St. Pancratius Parent Association service program as outlined in the parent service agreement.
  • Financial support of school by payment of fees and tuition and purchase of scrip.

    Evidence of a good Christian attitude and conformity of the school discipline policy;
    Satisfactory completion of placement tests.
  • All new students are admitted on probationary status for one year. Their progress is monitored and reviewed at the end of each trimester for continued attendance.
