Welcome to 5th grade!

Our awesome 5th grade students are learning the value of democracy all year round. They engage in the election process every month by voting for a class President, Vice President, Secretary, Table Captains, Rook Keepers, and Librarian.  They eventually assemble to form their own 5th Grade Bill of Rights and live out the experience of what we assume our Founding Fathers went through.

As 5th grade students, they take on an extra responsibility and are part of the morning Safety Patrol. All of our students are proud to serve our school and our St. Pancratius community.

In 5th grade, our students have access to different resources such as computers (aided by Ms. McKinnon), library, and even art.  It is important for them to be well-rounded and have a chance to express themselves through different media.

Students in 5th grade are also able to come to tutoring every Tuesday morning (7-7:30am).  During this time, the students get extra help on difficult concepts learned at school.

Most of all, faith is incorporated in every subject. God’s Word can be applied to any subject. Scripture is essential to our everyday lives. Prayer, even more so! As a class, we are learning that God has his chosen people, and we are among them.

Indeed, he loves his people; all his holy ones are in his hands. They follow in his steps and accept his teaching”

-Deuteronomy 33:3
